#storybehindtheart
In 1969, Pablo Picasso explored the theme of lovers in a passionate embrace. Couple, le Baiser was signed on November 28 and it represent the artist and his wife Jacqueline Roque. Picasso had a show in 1970 in Avignon (France) and the critics were divided about his later works.
In this POST, Salvavor Dali, a fan of Picasso comments positively and does self promotion. He said during the now famous speech Picasso and I: “Picasso is Spanish; so am I. Picasso is a genius, so am I. (…) Picasso is a communist; nor am I”
The comment of Christian Zervos, the show's main organizer, is based on his quote in the New York Times “as with Titan in the past: the older he grew, the more his work exuded an impression of radiant youth.”
